New grant to further enhance the West Acton Community Centre
On 24 December 2025, the Council of the London Borough of Ealing awarded the West Acton Community Centre an additional grant of £1,800.
The West Acton Community Centre, which provides space for youth and adult organisations to deliver a wide range of activities—including educational programmes, sports activities, exercise sessions for older people, and play activities for toddlers, as well as facilities for local residents to hold special functions- greatly appreciates this grant. The funding will enable further improvements to the Centre, helping to make it n even more efficient, comfortable, and welcoming space for the community.
This grant will support the installation of additional double glazing at the Community Centre. The benefits include increased comfort for users, a reduced carbon footprint, and improved environmental performance, particularly in relation to energy consumption. It will also help protect the charity that operates the Centre from rising energy costs, strengthen its financial sustainability, and improve the Centre’s resilience to climate change.
The Community Centre has already installed LED lighting in the car park and throughout the building and its aim is to further improve the building
